Connecting your Instagram account to Assembly should only take a few minutes, but if you run into issues, try going through each step of this article to make sure everything is working as expected.
To be able to connect an Instagram account to Assembly you need to follow these three steps
Convert IG to a Business or Creator Account
In order to schedule posts from Assembly, your Instagram account needs to be either a Business or Creator account.
The only difference between the two account types when it comes to Assembly is that only Business accounts can schedule Instagram stories and Creator accounts cannot.
Link Instagram Account to Facebook Page
Make sure your Instagram account is linked to an associated Facebook page. Follow the instructions here to link your Instagram account to the Facebook page.
If you don't have a Facebook page already, you can create one pretty easily.
Add your Facebook Account as an Admin of the Facebook Page
Authorization is done via your personal Facebook account. If not already done, get your account added to the Facebook page as an admin. If you're not an admin get an admin of the Facebook page to go to https://business.facebook.com/ and add you to have access with Full Control
